FILLED – Director of Nursing Services

Special Citizens Futures Unlimited is committed to providing the best quality of care to adults and children with autism. The Director of Nursing Services will be supervising the nursing staff in providing nursing services throughout the agency. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced Registered Nurse in an OPWDD residential setting with supervisory experience. This is a full time 40 hours a week in-person position.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordination and monitoring of medical services, including psychiatric and medication.
• Ensures each individual’s electronic clinical record is up-to-date.
• Plans, organizes, schedules, assigns, evaluates, and directs work of department.
• Oversight of AMAP training
• Provision of mandatory and as needed in-service training to all staff.
• Participates in interdisciplinary formulation of individual behavior plans.
• Provision of specialized treatments and therapies such as individual, group, and family therapies, requiring the clinical expertise
• Ensure all clinical support staff undertake required trainings.
• Oversight and development of nursing care plans
• Assist with the oversight and development of advanced directives.

Qualifications:

• NYS RN Certification is mandatory.
• Fully vaccinated (COVID-19).
• Must maintain an unrestricted NYS license to practice.
• Maintains professional licensure/certification as well as CPR and FA.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license within Agency standards.
• Ability to Travel frequently between locations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
