FILLED – Operations Director
Merraine Group has been retained by C&S Fencing, a family-owned and operated fencing solutions company established in 1968. Headquartered in northern New Jersey, they serve as a leader in commercial and residential fencing, with consistent expansion of operations and services. They seek an innovative and strategic Operations Director to lead their next level of expansion. C&S Fencing creates a product seen every day but have taken it to the next level to bring their customers an out-of-the-ordinary, and one-of-a-kind fabricated result. The Director will interface with customers, employees, and management, introducing new efficiencies, strategies, and ideas. The position reports to the General Manager, a true mentor with a history of demonstrated business growth.
C&S Fencing offers a diverse range of custom fencing solutions for applications including industrial, construction, property management, parking and transport, governmental, and commercial. C&S Fencing systems and services include parking guide rails, automated gates and access controls, temporary fencing, security and deterrence fencing, complex custom installations, and emergency fence repairs.
Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing vision including developing and executing a long-term manufacturing vision for the future of the company that supports company growth goals and provides strategic direction on processes, manufacturing technology, and operational core competencies.
- Lead the drive for continuous improvements in quality and efficiency and oversee projects to improve equipment and processes
- Drive best practices and efficient processes within the operations group by establishing standard work processes that ensure coordination among departments, accurate forecasting and on time delivery.
- Instill and drive a lean culture that drives continuous improvement and minimizes waste.
- Oversee schedules and assignments for each of the facilities.
- Ensure safety by serving as the company champion for safety, ensuring proper processes and a safety culture are instilled throughout the organization.
- Lead organizational development by keeping personnel motivated and productive.
- Assess the organization and conduct training and succession planning where needed.
- Oversee and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees.
